I am a solar physicist currently working as a staff member of Solar Physics Department of Astronomical Institute, Slovak Academy of Sciences, Tatranska Lomnica, Slovakia.

My research is focused on chromospheric and transition region fine structures and also on diagnostic properties of spectral lines in the visible spectrum of the Sun. I teach occasionaly students from Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice the course on astrophysical practicum involving solar spectroscopy and IDL programming. I give popular talks and presentations on astronomy for ground school pupils and high school students and write popular articles for the journals Vesmír , Kozmos , and Quark . I also edit the webpage on Astronomical News.

My professional astronomical past is related to Observatory and Planetarium of Maximilian Hell in Ziar nad Hronom and Observatory in Partizanske.
