Abstract: We present a grid of NLTE model atmospheres and synthetic spectra for hot helium-rich white dwarfs in order to elucidate the nature and characteristics of the progenitors of the DO white dwarfs. The grid coverage is 50000 ≤ Teff ≤ 120000 K with a step of 2500 K and 7 ≤ log g ≤ 8.5 with a step of 0.25 dex, for three helium abundance values (He/H): 102, 103 and 104 by number. The spectra are synthesized with a sampling of 0.1 Å and covering the wavelength range from 3000 to 7000 Å. An application to the observed spectra is given.
