Born: in Brno (Czech Republic) on April 23, 1955.

Employment: permanent position in the Dept. of Solar Physics, Astronomical Institute of the Slovak academy of sciences.

Since 2009 director of the Institute

 

FIELD OF INTEREST

The main field of interest is solar physics, particularly the active and quiet solar atmosphere, solar flares and solar spectroscopy, spectropolarimetry.
